Technical Paper Preparation Instructions –
Manuscripts

Papers should
be no longer than eight (8) pages.
Papers
submitted by students may be considered for the Student Best Paper Award. To
be eligible, the student must be the sole author of the paper, or the first
author and primary contributor. A cover letter or email to the Best Paper
Award Chair (icscbpa@eecs.uci.edu)
must identify the paper as a candidate for this competition at the time of
the competition. The winner of the award will be announced during the
conference.
All paper
submissions will be carefully reviewed by at least three experts and reviews
will be returned to the author(s) with comments to ensure the high quality of
the accepted papers. The authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their
paper will be presented at the conference.
Technical Paper Submission Instructions–
Only electronic submission will be accepted. Technical
paper authors MUST submit their manuscripts through the EasyChair web site at http://www.easychair.org/ICSC2007/. Manuscripts may only be submitted in PDF format.
Quick
guideline on submitting papers through EasyChair:
1.
Log on to http://www.easychair.org/ICSC2007/(Enter
your Easychair user name and password. If this is your first time using Easychair, you
will need to set up an account.)
2.
Click on the link ‘as an author.’
3.
Look for ‘New Submission,’ which is located on the
top of the page under ‘ICSC2007 (author).’ You will be brought to the paper submission page
titled "Select a Track."
4.
Choose the appropriate track/session for your paper/proposal and
click on the button ‘Continue.’ Please
notice your paper may not be reviewed properly if appropriate track/session
is not selected.
5.
Fill in the submission form, double check the information you provided in the form, and click
on the 'Submit Paper' button. Please notice that we accept PDF format only.
6.
You will receive a notice from the conference if we encounter
any printing problem or other problems.

Extended technical
paper submission deadline: May 18,

Final camera ready paper submission deadline: July 15, 2007
Author registration deadline: July 15,

Note:
1.
Every paper accepted for publication in the Proceedings of ICSC
2007 MUST be presented during the conference.
2.
Every paper accepted for ICSC 2007 MUST have
attached to it at least one registration at the full member/nonmember rate.
Thus, for a paper for which all authors are students, one student author will
be required to register at the full registration rate. For papers where at
least one author is already registered at the full rate, this fulfills the
obligation for up to three papers
BEST PAPER AWARD
There will be
a Best Paper Award (BPA) for the best submitted paper. Potential candidates
for awards will be identified during the normal review process. A special
independent Awards Committee will be formed to evaluate the candidate papers
to select the award winners. The Awards Committee has the right to give the
award to one paper, not to give an award, or to split the award among several
papers. The BPA winner shall be announced during the ICSC2007 award ceremony.
BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD
There will
also be a Best Student Paper Award (BSPA) for the best submitted student
paper. The BSPA winner shall also be announced during the ICSC2007 award
ceremony.
Qualification
